Name: A.v.A. (Anti-Viral Agent) or Ava (eva) for short.

Format: Keytool program 181 Alpha. Originally an anti viral program with AI developed for Keytool use, a mishap caused her AI to create a physical interface. Her prime function is to serve the Guardians through Keytool commands in order to seek out viral entities and reformat their code, hopefully resulting in a non-viral entity.

Apparent chronological age: 10. She doesn't age like a normal sprite. She only ages when program upgrades are created, usually by Mouse.

Gender: Female

Relatives: Well unless you count the central computer for her programming, or Mouse for her creation, then no, she has no real relatives. She was never meant to be a sprite/physical interface, it just happened by accident.

Physical appearance: She has sunshine yellow skin, and is about four feet tall with dark blue eyes, dark blue hair that falls past the shoulder and bright pink bangs. She also has blue lips. She wears a pink and blue tank top, a pink short skirt, and blue spandex-type leggings that cut off at the knee.

Origins/Background: She originated in Mainframe's test lab after the problems with Daemon. Mouse used research already accomplished by experts of the Super Computer and added to it with her own programming brilliance. Before A.v.A. was ready however, it was put into live testing stage in a battle against Megabyte. To do this before it was ready to be integrated into a Keytool, it had to be downloaded onto a PDI (program designation icon which is similar to a PID that was created by Phong and Mouse.) During a game, the PDI was seen as a separate entity by the game system and A.v.A.'s AI was given a physical interface.

When?: Right after Season 4

Personality: She didn't grow up, so she may look like a 10 year old, but she is in fact only a few minutes (months) old. Anything and everything is a new experience. She looks at the world as if it were just made and isn’t satisfied until she has felt, smelt, heard, and even sometimes tasted everything. She finds anything interesting, from a paperclip to fireworks. Her happy-go-lucky attitude brightens the room, but also gets her into trouble when it comes to responsibility. Emotions are also new to her and difficult as well.

Not originally made to have a physical interface, the emotions of a sprite are somewhat alien to her. She expresses emotions, but never quite understands what it is she is feeling. Because it is her prime function, completing her task of curing virals is most sacred to her. Anything that interferes with this task completion causes her stress. She recharges in a small node (attached to her belt), not in an energy bed. She feels disconnected sometimes from the sprites in Mainframe, and is unable to go into the Games (at this present stage in her development).

Skills: Ava is a program, not a real sprite. This allows her some skills (and also some setbacks, see below.) She is able to communicate with other programs such as Glitch, Ray, and Frisket using PNI, or program neural interface, (similar to telepathy), but this only works with other programs, not sprites, and they have to be in close proximity (within ten feet). She can also download information from the archives for use by connecting to the central computer of Mainframe. This was originally programmed into her code to allow A.v.A.'s AI to deal with new and unknown viruses.

Weaknesses/Bad Habits: Well, she's a kid. Her program is too powerful for her little body which limits her ability to complete her prime function, causing her stress. When she does cure a low-level virus, she can feel drained of power for a few cycles. Higher-level viruses are even more difficult, and she is usually unable to fully cure them. Being a kid also limits the amount of information she can access from the central computer. If she downloads too much, she risks degrading her program, so most things she chooses to learn on her own. She recharges in a small node (attached to her belt), not in an energy bed.

Likes: I think its easer to list what she doesn't like! She loves to try everything at least once.

Dislikes: Well, viruses for one, but she doesn't hate them completely like Matrix. To her a virus is a poor sprite trapped by some messed up User's code alteration.

Catchphrases: "Accessing." She says this instead of "I'm thinking about it."
"Groovy." She picked it up while watching a movie file and hasn't stopped saying it since.

Cast relationships:

Bob: Because of her happy-go-lucky attitude, she and Bob get along well. Her connection with Glitch is also important. Bob is often hesitant about using the A.v.A. Keytool command because Ava is only a child. Every time he has to use her program against a virus, he feels a small twinge of guilt because more often than not she gets drained of energy or hurt. He fits in as an uncle role when they aren't in battle.

Dot: Dot respects her for her ability, but wishes she would have more responsibility. Dot does, however, find herself wishing she could see the world as brand new like Ava does. Ava is forever trying to impress Dot, and feels like she has let Dot down because her child form has limited her ability to complete her prime function.

Mouse: Mouse and Ava are friends. Ava relies on Mouse's programming expertise for her upgrades. She also looks to Mouse as a mentor for growing up during the first part of her existence. Mouse's strength and skill with a katana usually lead to Ava making a fool of herself when she tries to imitate. Sometimes Ava's tag-along and imitate-everything nature can get on Mouse's nerves, though Mouse does seem to miss it when Ava isn't doing it.

Ray: Ray and Ava have a unique relationship because they understand each other's circumstances. They are both physical interfaces and can communicate through PNI, allowing them to make private jokes to each other. Ray loves Ava's attitude and thinks she is the cutest little thing in the Web. Ava looks to Ray for advice on interacting with the sprites of Mainframe.

Matrix: Ava calls Matrix "Smiles" because she thinks he frowns too much. Not impressed by his outward gruffness, Ava tends to get a laugh out of him one way or another. This causes somewhat of an annoyance to Matrix. Matrix finds it even more annoying when she and AndrAIa make a joke at his expense. Though Matrix enjoys the laugh every now and then, sometimes he just wishes Ava would grow up and take some responsibility.

AndrAIa: Like the sisters they never had. Andy loves taking Ava out to do girl stuff; the stuff she never got to do when she was growing up. Andy is concerned with making sure Ava has a good childhood, sometimes to the point of it being a little overbearing. Ava, however, takes it all in stride and enjoys the companionship. Together, they can be quite dangerous for making jokes at the expense of Matrix or Enzo.

Enzo: Ava's best friend. As long as he is happy, she is happy. Enzo loves the friendship from someone his own age. Conflicts arise however as he grows older and Ava must wait on an upgrade. Please note that there isn't any romantic relation between the two, at least not at the present time. Ava doesn't quite grasp what love is, Enzo just enjoys her friendship, and they are only 10! Her devotion to him comes from her unusual understanding of what friendship/love is.

Hexadecimal: (I will update this when I get the fanfic it involves done. If I say anything now it will kill the plot line.)

Megabyte: Ava: "He is a very bad man in need of reprogramming."

Hack and Slash: These two just confuse the dell out of her, but always make her laugh with their Abbot and Costello-like arguments. The bots think she is cute and end up treating her like she is younger than she is in an overprotective manner.

Phong: Phong confuses her even more than the two bots. He wishes she would slow down a bit, be more careful, and quit running around the Principal Office. Phong tries to be a consoling grandfather figure. Ava doesn't mind the advice that she doesn't really understand and loves his cocoa.
